Portable Beds For Adults

Updated on March 14, 2011

Sometimes the best sleep isn't on what kind of bed you're sleeping on, but on where you're sleeping. Maybe it's just me, but if I'm not feeling the 'vibe' of where I'm sleeping, then I'm not going to be sleeping very well. And that's where, I believe, portable beds come in.

With a good, high quality, portable bed, you can virtually sleep anywhere. Don't like the room you're sleeping in, well, just take your portable bed and go somewhere else. This is great when sleeping with someone who is snoring or in a room that is either too hot or too cold.

The best portable beds for adults are the beds that are the most mobile, as well as the most comfortable. Many of the most popular portable beds for adults are folding cots for camping (as camping is the best play to use a portable bed).

Portable beds come in many sizes, from queen sized portable beds all the way to simple single portable beds for adults.

Folding Cots For Camping

One of the best kind of portable beds for camping are, hands down, folding cots meant for camping.  A folding cot is such a great bed, because it can easily packed up in stored at a moments notice; plus it's big enough, and easily mailable, to fit in even the tightest spots.

The majority of folding cots for camping will lay above ground as they come with removable legs.  One of the best folding cots for camping is the Texsport folding jumbo camp cot.  This is a big cot making it one of the biggest portable beds for sale. It has a heavy-duty aluminum frame and is fully water resistant. It also comes with a nylon storage bag which is easy to carry.

All folding cots for adults are like Texsport - at least all the good ones.  They'll be easy to set up and even easier to sleep on.

Portable Platform Bed

Another option for your portable bed needs is to, instead of buying a portable bed, just by a portable bed frame - or portable bed platform.  In this case, instead of moving an entire bed, you just have to move the frame, as well as a mattress separately.  This is great for those of you who like camping, or sleeping, always in comfort and style.

Portable platform beds will be foldable, allowing you to easy travel and move the bed around.   Plus, the size of a platform bed, is much bigger than the average portable bed for sale, making it a great option for those of you who want a portable queen bed frame.

Is it the most convenient for, say, camping?  Probably not but it's still a great way to buy a portable bed online.

Best Portable Beds For Adults

Other than a folding cot, or bed platform, what are the best portable beds for adults?

It may come as a surprise, but the best portable beds for adults, other than the two mentioned, are air mattresses.

They're convienient.

They're easy to blow up and deflate.

They're cheap portable beds.

They're comfortable.
