Arguably, Birmingham prides itself in having some of the safest places to live in. Not only are they considered safe, they are so full of life and tend to attract so many people’s presence. 1. Glen Iris

With a total population of close to 10, 000 residents, Glen Iris is considered one of the safest places to live in Birmingham. Its large number of bars, parks, restaurants and coffee shops has contributed greatly to its amazing nightlife. The diverse nature of its population has also been able to attract quite a number of people who have chosen to rent their homes.

2. Highland Park

Just a few miles south east of the city center, Highland Park is one of the locals’ favorites. The residents are a fair mix of both the young and the aged. During summer, while strolling in the streets, you will be surprised by the number of people, both young and old, you will come across walking their dogs, jogging, or strolling just like you. The population delights in two popular joints, Rojo and OHenry’s Coffee.

Rojo happens to be the only Mexican joint around, with its wide range of delicious cuisine, always drawing people back for more. With a wide variety of local art hanging all over the walls it provides the most conducive atmosphere for those post – work brunches. Founded in Birmingham, OHenry’s seats barely a mile from Rojo. 3. Forest Park

5. Oxmoor

With a low population of slightly less than 5000 residents, Oxmoor offers an ideal environment for a family set – up. It is also an ideal place for home owners. The large number of parks here provides a good opportunity for a number of outdoor activities such as camping ore even picnics. Its diverse population also gives a welcoming feel for anyone who wishes to move in.

6. Crestline

Crestline, by far, is considered one of the most charming neighborhoods of Birmingham. With a hidden park, Crestline Park, it has become one of many people’s favorites. It also has a rich presence of joints to hang out in, including wine shops, restaurants and even bars. Within its vicinity also lies the Birmingham Bicycle Company. 7. Five Points South

Five Points South by far is one of Birmingham’s safest and best culinary neighborhood. It is the rich presence of culinary joints, shopping centers, and businesses that has seen it being labelled as ‘a town within a city’. The well-lit streets and pedestrian walks have greatly contributed to its rich nightlife.

8. Norwood

Norwood’s safe nature has greatly contributed to hyperactive nightlife over the years. The large presence of coffee shops, restaurants, bars and parks has continued to make it an attractive neighborhood over the years. Its serene nature also makes it an ideal place for retirees and families that are just starting up.
