Window Cleaner Recipes
Window Cleaners
No other conventional window cleaners work better than home-made, eco-friendly window cleaner recipes.
A little "this and that" can sometimes work magic to your windows.
Here's how!
Recipe for window cleaner
- 1 gallon water
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon liquid dish detergent
While vinegar is the natural super cleaner that kills mold, bacteria and germ, the juice of lemon acts as a natural deodorizer.
Tips on how to clean your window
- Mix all ingredients and pour into an unused plastic spray bottle
- Shake well before using and spray on
- Wipe using crumpled old newspaper on each side of the window
Voila! Your window will be streak-free, sparkling clean in just minutes.
There are many other window cleaner recipes but this one works amazingly well. Besides, most or all the ingredients are readily available in your home.
It's easy, smart, frugal and environmentally friendly.
Just be aware that many recipes contains ammonia (which is a stong alkaline) which can be harmful and poisonous if swallowed or inhaled in large quantities.
While the above home-made window cleaner recipe is non-toxic and virtually harmless, it's best to keep it ouf of reach from your kids.
