Window & Glass Cleaner Recipe: Cheap and Streak-Free
When I was a small child, I had several chores that was required of me; especially on Saturday mornings. One of those chores was to clean the windows the whole way around the lower portion of the house on the inside as well as the outside. I always used my mother's homemade Window and Glass Cleaner. My mother always swore by this recipe and I have to say, I really like it as well.
It doesn't streak; and I'm not sure, but I guess it's the alcohol content in it that prevents it from streaking, but nevertheless, it's a really good recipe. I use it all the time for cleaning windows, mirrors and any glass surface.
It's really easy to make, store and use. The ingredients are simple and easy to locate. I usually go to my local dollar store to purchase them. I use an old gallon milk jug and pour in all of the ingredients. Then shake it to mix it up. Simply spray onto the surface that needs cleaning and wipe dry with a paper towel. In addition, I never have to worry about streaks. It works very well!
