Cuisinart Waffle Maker Makes Great Waffles
I love my Cuisinart waffle maker, and I'm going to tell you why!
Mainly, it's because I love eating fresh, hot waffles, and let me tell you about the smell! Oh man, my house smells so good for at least a day after I've made a batch of delicious waffles! The warm baked aroma of the simple waffle recipe that comes with this little waffle making machine is heavenly!
I've always loved waffles. To me they're better than pancakes or French toast. Mind you, there's nothing wrong with those breakfast foods but waffles have some wonderful attributes:
- They are delicious and have a wonderful texture--crunchy and firm--fresh from the waffle iron.
- They have little sections made by the waffle iron to hold toppings like syrup or jam or Nutella or whatever you want to eat with them.
- They are sturdy and hold up well to all sorts of accompanying foods like bacon (you can make a little sandwich!) or ice cream (top a waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a sprinkling of powdered sugar for a lovely and unexpected dessert!).
Waffle batter is easy to whip up and the batter holds up well overnight in the refrigerator till you're ready to make the hot, fresh waffles.
I love making a batch of waffles, eating a few, and freezing the rest. I just use a slightly smaller scoop of batter in this waffle maker, and the waffles come out square! Frozen waffles are perfect for popping in the toaster in the morning for a quick breakfast. They taste so much better than store-bought waffles and are so much cheaper to make!
The nonstick finish is perfect. No spraying is needed, and a quick wipe with a paper towel as needed cleans up the waffle maker so it's ready to go next time you're craving a hot toasty waffle.
A waffle maker makes a great gift for just about anyone! Busy moms can make up waffles ahead of time and freeze them, grandparents (like me) can treat the grandkids to a fun food when they come visit, and anyone who loves to eat will enjoy the fruits of their labors using a Cuisinart waffle maker!
