I decided one day that my hairdryer which did not have a plug on it could share the power from my striaghtening iron.How did I do this you ask?
I wrapped the exposed wires from the hairdryer around the prongs of the straightening iron and placed my DIYered sharepoint into the socket...There was a loud bang and next thing I remember I was on the opposite side of the room and my hair was very static.The plugpoint was black and neither the hairdryer nor the straightener ever worked again.
Probably one of the stupidest things I've ever done.
