Type of door stop to use in a 4000 sf custom home recently repainted
I prefer a floor mount dome stop, my wife prefers a wall/base board/ door attached and/or hinge stop, which I believe easily and can more readily damages the attached surface. She feel the floor stop is a tripping hazzard.
Floor stop can be a tripping hazard but wall mounted can damage the door easier. There are many different types to pick from depending on the door as well. If it is a decorative door floor or wall mounted could look fairly tacky, unless you can get a good match.
Ground stop can be a falling threat but attached to the walls can harm the entrance easier. There are many different types to choose from with regards to the entrance as well. If it is a attractive entrance floor or attached to the walls could look quite awkward, unless you can get a good go with http://www.dongrafconstruction.com
