I don't think you can do that anymore. Let me warn you - all real estate agents will tell you that you can buy a house with whatever little money you have, but later on, once you are in love with the house, they'll tell you that you need another three or four thousand dollars. They'll even advice you to find a relative or friend who can lend you that kind of money. We went through this experience recently and decided, last minute, to not buy.

Buying a house is a major choice. There are over a million homes for sale at any particular time. A number of national sites only have a partial or outdated listing of those homes - but they don't have that information.
