Which is more energy efficient for heating baby bottles: turning on the hot water and waiting...

for it to get hot, or micorowaving a cup of water to plunge the bottle into?

Microwave a cup of water and dip the bottle into it.

I like to think that the old fashion way of boiling the kettle and pouring it into a jug is the best way to heat a baby's bottle. This would be suitable if it was formula but if it is cow's milk why not just heat the milk in a saucepan and pour it into the bottle. As long as we are not heating any baby's bottles in the microwave itself, I think all ways would be just as energy efficient. And of course safety should always rule over efficiency!
