Can you heat onyx flooring?
Home Depot had a great sale on expensive onyx so we picked up a nice selection. When we inquired with the flooring specialist about the durability of onyx, he advised it was as hard as marble so all our concerns were allayed. After we got the stone home, but of course, I researched the hardness of onyx and found that it is softer than marble.
Now we have not yet installed this beautiful, natural stone but we had planned on having heated floors.
Should we be concerned?
