I found a great looking halogen wall sconce which I believe will work well over my dark kitchen sink. Can I hang it on the ceiling safely even thought it is specific for the wall?
The ceiling electrical box will probably support it unless it is huge. It will work electrically.
Will it stay together, though, when it is hung on it's "side"? Will any glass globes fall off? Will the support screws, intended to carry weight a different direction, bend or release the fixture? Impossible to say without seeing the fixture.
