Glass Jars and Canisters
Practical Kitchen Storage
I am in the market for glass storage jars for my kitchen. I would consider a nice canister set, but I am not adverse to using an assortment of unmatched jars with lids.
I like the look of clear glass. I enjoy seeing the color and texture of the contents. It also makes it easy for me to find things in the kitchen, since my memory is not what it used to be.
I will use my jars on the counter top and in the pantry. I have seen attractive displays of glass storage on open shelves as well. This is a versatile choice!
I will not be limiting my use of glass jars to the kitchen either! I think it is handy in the bathroom to coral small items, as well as in the sewing room. Where could you use a new set of glass canisters?
Cookie Jar from the Old General Store
My mother bought one of these about 30 years ago. She keeps it on her counter, filled with cookies for the grandchildren. It is always very welcoming to help yourself to a snack when visiting. Everyone knows she will have it filled with a yummy choice for her family. Maybe I will pass along this tradition for my own future grandkids!

I have a couple of these in different sizes. I keep my sugar in one of them and my tea bags in another.

Small Spice Jars
For now I am keeping my spices in their original containers inside a box in my pantry. Maybe eventually I will organize them in uniform jars. If so, these will be up for consideration.

Where do you use glass jars?
This is a handy size for small quantities of contents. I have found a lot of uses for this size jar. I am using a set of Ball jars right now, but maybe an upgrade is in order.
These hold just over 7 ounces. I like the shape.
These Weck jars look great and are very popular. They come in a variety of sizes. These are definitely going near the top of my wish list! They look like a very practical choice that will meet my needs.
