Chalkboard Wall Decals

A chalkboard wall decal does double duty in your child's room. First, it is a great, modern way to fill a blank wall, but as they get older it becomes a unique, creative way for them to personalize their space. Kids love chalkboards, and these wall decals are an inexpensive way to give them a creative outlet.

These Kantha Baby Blankets and Quilts are each unique. Hand stitched from layers of fabric to create a light quilt-like blanket, these pieces feature soft fabrics, muted color schemes and delicate stitchery. Sari Curtain Panels

Add a soft touch to your nursery windows with these Sari Curtain panels.

Curtains help filter light and cut down on noise in your nursery. Consider adding these to your décor. Click on some of my favorites below to view even more selections on Amazon.com.

A Bright Floor Cushion Makes a Fantastic Accent

A floor cushion is a great accent in a baby nursery. It provides a soft spot to cuddle up on, or a prop "mountain:" for baby to climb and conquer as he gets bigger.

Check out some brightly colored floor cushions and ottomans which would make a great accent piece in your Indian themed baby nursery. I especially love these made from kantha quilts.

Joan, how thoughtful of you! I would avoid white as it is the color of mourning in Hindu tradition, and also just impractical if you have a baby who spits up as much as mine did!

In Indian mythology, green symbolizes peace and happiness. And it is also a good gender neutral choice. I'm thinking a nice bright spring green would be a lovely choice for such a thoughtful gesture.

Hi-this is a question. A co-worker's wife is pregnant (due date is late March 2013.) I want to knit a baby blanket. They recently re-located here from India. Can you recommend a neutral color for a baby blanket? Is there a favorite color for such an item in India (for gender neutral.) I could always knit in white but wondered if there is a better (and/or more fun) color. Thanks.
