Upgrade Your Bathroom With a Soft Close Toilet Seat
I’ll admit, I never would have thought that I would be writing about toilet seats! I’ll tell you why I decided to – I moved into a new house that we purchased a couple of years ago. It’s an older house, but the previous owners did a lot of things both inside and out to update and beautify the home. One of the things that the house came with was soft close toilet seats, also called quiet close or slow close toilet seats, in every bathroom. My whole family thought they were pretty cool. I can’t say that I had never heard of them before, but I don’t think I ever gave it much thought, either!
Slow / Soft Close Toilet Seat
If you haven’t experiences slow close toilet seats then you probably underestimate how cool it is to be able to just give the seat or the lid a light tap and see it close slowly and quietly all on its own without having to hear that loud slam that normal toilet seats make.
If you have kids, this is especially great to have because they do have a habit of slamming down toilet lids and seats and it can be quite disturbing. Not to mention some of the horror stories I have heard from moms of little potty training boys that have heavy toilet seats and lids accidentally crash down….
If there’s any down side to having slow close toilet seats in your home it’s that you and your kids will forget when you’re at someone else’s home that not everyone has them and you’ll inevitable be loudly slamming down other people’s toilet seats and lids – not the end of the world or a reason not to buy slow closing toilet seats for yourself today!
