Updated on April 9, 2008

Firstly, on the right hand side of the Internet Explorer toolbar is a button marked "tools". part of the button is a downward pointing arrow.

Click on the arrow and a drop-down box will appear.

At the bottom of the box should be a label saying "Internet Options", click this and a new window will appear.

The Internet Options window.
The Internet Options window.

In the text box at the top of the window, you will see a web address. Delete this address if you do not need it and type in your new address including the http://

To get a more than one tab to open in Internet Explorer on startup simply press enter and type a second web address.

Click the OK button at the bottom of the window, shut down Internet Explorer and when you restart there will be your new tabs already to go.

This information is all correct, but that's not the answer she was looking for. She means: when you click to create a new tab, can you set it so it automatically opens your home page. I don't think you can. That's why I don't like the new version of Internet Explorer.
