Are You Happy With Your Results?

Well, here we are with another year behind us and our future staring us in the face! Have you made a goal list for 2008? When you reflect on 2007, are there things in your life that you would like to change or improve? Most will say yes as we could all stand a bit of improvement in one area or the other. So, what are you willing to do to create the life that you dream of?

So many of us sit down at the beginning of the year and think about what we would like to have or do in the upcoming year to better our lives. The next day, we are back in the same rut we were in before, doing exactly the same things we have always done, yet we are still expecting different results from these actions. When you think about it, does this really make any sense at all? How can you keep doing the same things over and over and have the results change along the way?

Should You Change Your Recipe?

Consider this... you prepare a recipe from a cookbook and you don't like the results when it is done. Are you going to keep using that same recipe over and over and expect it to taste any different after cooking it several times? Of course not! Life is no different. It is made up of all types of ingredients called decisions and the results come from the cooking process called actions. Now, if you don't like the results that you are getting from the decisions and actions you are taking now, you simply have to change the recipe!

Figure out what it is that you would like to change or improve in your life. List the action steps that you need to take to make these changes or improvements happen and then make the decision to take those actions that are necessary to reach those goals. You can do anything that you really want if you are willing to do what it takes to achieve it. Even if people tell you it is impossible! We all know that everything is impossible until somebody does it. Imagine where we would be today if all of the great inventors chose to listen to all those people who told them that their dreams were impossible!

Make Those Changes

Now is the time to start reviewing your life and asking yourself if you are getting the results that you truly desire from life. If not, start changing your recipe until you successfully create the results that you know that you are capable of creating. Anyone who challenges you not to follow your dreams would do well to review their own recipe in life!
