Invitation To Partake of The Great Future

The future belongs to the righteous people of God. No matter how wealthy you may have become in our present time , you may become one of the ten richest men in the world , yet if you don't belong to the redeemed people of God whose sins are forgiven and washed away by the blood of the Lamb , I'm sorry to tell you , you can never be part of the magnificent "Future" God is preparing for His precious redeemed.

No matter how great you may have become by this world standard , you may be a Nobel Prize awardee or may be awarded as one of the ten outstanding men in the country , yet if the Spirit of Christ is not in you, you could not expect something great in your future , for you are not part of the "eternal Kingdom of God."

There is an end to everything in this world, only one thing is to last for eternity , the everlasting Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is one great thing we must seek with all our hearts in order to be partaker of the marvelous FUTURE God is preparing. The Kingdom of God is not really that far, it comes to those with a contrite heart and broken spirit , it comes to the humble heart which is stripped off of pride and self-righteousness.

First you must humble yourself before God, admit that you have been a sinner before Him , and deserves His judgement . It is written in Romans 6:23a :

"For the wages of sin is death...... "

It takes only a single sin committed once in a lifetime to deserve God's judgement. For God's standard is Holiness and it means perfection or absence of any sin. Lying is considered a mortal sin which deserves second death as written in Revelations 21:18, all liars will take their place in the fiery lake of burning sulfur . Cheating of whatever form , either in taxes, exams, electric bills is a grievous sin before God as written in Revelations 21:27 :

"Nothing impure will ever enter it (the Holy City), nor does what is shameful or deceitful."

There are some sins we just take for granted such as envy, hatred, forming factions or divisions which are truly serious before God. We don't need to be a murderer or adulterer to deserve hell. A life lived for SELF and SELFISH AMBITIONS is an abomination in the eyes of God. As it is written in Galatians 5:19-21 :

"The acts of the sinful nature are obvious , sexual immorality , impurity and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions and envy , drunkenness, orgies and the like. I warn you as I did before, that those who live like this WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD."

"But the gift of God is eternal life through JesusChrist our Lord." Romans 6:32b

All of us deserve God's judgement because of our sins . But God in His great mercy provided for us a way in order to escape His judgement. God himself provided the way through His son JesusChrist. Christ death on the cross is the only sacrifice honored by God for the forgiveness of our sins. Apart from Jesus Christ work on calvary, there is no way to be saved. We have to accept Christ death on the cross as the only sacrifice sufficient for our salvation.

All other sacrifices we offer either in the form of rituals or offerings for the forgiveness of sins are not accepted by God . As it is written in Isaiah 64:6 :

"All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteousness are like filthy rags."

Christ death on the cross is accepted by God for Christ is blameless and sinless. The sacrifice offered by Christ on calvary two thousand years ago is once and for all. It is sufficient sacrifice for all sinners up to the last generation of men. As it is written in Hebrews 10 :10 :

"And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of JesusChrist once for all."

After accepting Christ sacrifice on the cross as the only sacrifice, we must surrender our sins and lives to Him. We must accept Him as Lord. Accepting Christ as Lord requires repenting of our sins and dethroning of ourselves. Take this for an illustration, in the center of our heart there is a throne, apart from Christ, the SELF is seated there as king. We perform things as they please the SELF. We work our way for the gratification of our selfish desires even contrary to the Word of God.This SELF desires greatness , fame and glory. In pursuing things for ourselves we abandon God and His ways.

At the moment we accept Christ as Lord, SELF must be dethroned from the throne in the center of our heart and Christ must be enthroned there as Lord and King. It is time to surrender our will to Christ . It involves not only a few aspects of our life but all including our career, our lovelife, our family life, our possesseions, etc.

By receiving Christ into your heart as Lord, you become a child of God, a heir of His kingdom as it is written in in John 1:12 :

"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. "

Once you become a child of God, you become a heir of God's Kingdom. The promise of Jeremiah 29 :11 will be with you:

"For I know the plans I have for you ," declares the Lord, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a FUTURE."

God reserves a very great future for His children , far beyond our imagination. This is not the kind of future the world could give, it is a kind of future only God could give. To be part of this awesome future , you must come to JesusChrist and surrender your sins and life to Him.

As a conclusion , allow me to share my testimony briefly about the wonderful work of God in my life. Before I gave my heart to the Lord JesusChrist , I am a lady with much ambitions and dreams for my future. I dreamed great things for myself and for my future . I dreamed of reaching the top of the career ladder I had chosen for myself. But God did not allow me to take even the first step of the ladder. I resented this dealing of God in my life. I became a bitter person. Then came one Christmas season , God allowed me to have an encounter with a person who impacted my life. After that encounter I will never be the same person again. From that encounter, I have realized my true condition before God . I have realized the depth of my sinfulness, the blackness of my heart, and the filthiness of my soul. It was indeed a face to face encounter with God.

I have realized with all my pride and selfish ambitions , I will never be a heir of God's Kingdom. I repented of all my pride, filthiness and self-centeredness and surrendered my life completely to the Lord Jesus Christ. After I made this surrender, God filled my heart with an unspeakable joy that I cannot explain not describe, something I have never experienced before. My heart was emptied from all selfish desires as I experience His awesome presence. I have known deep inside my heart that I was finally in Him. From that moment on , the eternal Kingdom of God began to dwell inside my heart.

I was humbled by God after that experience , I ceased from dreaming great things for myself. My heart started to yearn for the things of heaven. I kissed goodbye to all my selfish ambitions . I stopped holding on to the future the world could give , I have realized a FUTURE far far greater than the world could provide , a marvelous FUTURE only God could give.

"All these faithful ones (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, etc. ) died without receiving what God had promised them, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed the promises of God. They agreed that they were no more than foreigners and nomads here on earth . And obviously people who talk like that are looking forward to a country they call their own . If they had meant the country they came from, they would have found a way to go back. But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland . That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a heavenly city for them. "
