Mens Thongs - Why Are They So Popular
Whilst very few men will ever admit to wearing a thong, an underground trend is growing. No long are thongs the domain of the homosexual male and caveman, this trend is spreading through the heterosexual middle aged guy (not just Peter Stringfellow) who goes out to the pub on a Friday night with his mates and takes in kids to the park on Saturday mornings.
So what has fuelled this increase in the demand for mens thongs? Well there are a few factor contributing. Firstly, men are more aware now then ever before about the need for good supportive mens underwear to ensure the health of their meat and veg, thongs are possibly the most supportive underwear style that you can buy.
Secondly, because they are minimal in material and waist band, they can be comfortable to wear if you are a little on the plump side. The waist band tends to sit lower and therefore fits under a beer belly quite comfortably (I know this is not an image you want in your mind, but it's true!). The alternative is to loose the beer belly.
They are also cool in summer, you don't get VPL through your trousers and when the call of nature prevails they are easily accessible!
Another fact which has seen a surge in the popularity of thongs is the growing number of women who buy them for their partners. This is possibly a very subtle hint that they would like to see their men in something sexier than there five year old M&S jersey boxers, or it could be that they are just tired of buying them socks and ties for Christmas, but whatever the reason, sales to women of mens thongs are on the increase.
However, for women it is important to know what the best size is and to follow agood mens underwear fitting guide.
If you mention the word mens thong to a lot of people, they automatically assume that they are something sleazy, worn by gay men and made of strange leatherette materials, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Thongs are available in a wide variety of materials, colours and cuts, so open your mind and give one a go - you never know you might just like it!
