Ode to the Spammer

Updated on September 18, 2008

a poem by Bonnie Ramsey

If you spam our respectable community

with your garbage hubs and ads

If you fill your hubs promoting

all your scammy sites and fads

If you only come to self-promote

your products, links and wares,

There is something you should keep in mind...

TRUE hubbers are your worst nightmares!

If your hub is self-promoting,

If sales are your only concern,

You shouldn't waste the time to post

The rules here are very stearn.

You won't recruit a prospect here

If you spam us with your link.

The hubbers here will flag your post

Before you have time to blink.

We love our Hub community

And the talent shared within,

So rest assured our "spam patrols"

Will quickly turn you in.

So, Spam away if you are bold.

Post as quickly as you can,

For our hubber family works together

To quickly get you banned!

      Thanks, Comp-u-smart!

It seems lately we have been bombarded with spam hubs and it is frustrating to have to weed through all of those to get to the good hubs! This helped relieve the stress when you can't reach through the computer screen and slap 'em lol.

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. Come by any time!

I agree, Nana. I have a couple of hubs that I use for a certain amount of promotion but they aren't filled with a dozen links and just one or two sentences, either. There is a right way to promote and then there is spam LOL. It would help if people would read the TOS here before they just plaster their links, ya know? As for religion being spam, I can say without a doubt that your hubs are far from spam. I love your hubs! Thanks for stopping and leaving comments!

LOL Bonnie... I can only "pray" that religion is not considered SPAM to the majority:-)

Great message. I too love HP and do not like when I see that kind of abuse! What a way to pull us together and drive that kind out!

We just need to be careful that we do not misjudge a newcomer too quickly:-) There is nothing wrong - if they sell or self promote with class. I see it done properly all the time too.

A little restraint never hurt a soul:-)
