The best way to approach a person about your home business.
I have found that people respond better to a natural conversation than they do any other type of approach. Strike up a conversation. Ask them what they do. LISTEN carefully to their answer. Chances are, they will add a negative remark about their job or the pay, which is important because it means they are not satisfied and may be open to other options. Once they have answered, they normally ask what you do. Just speak very positively about what you do and your products and let them know that you are very satisfied with your business. At this point, be sure to hand them a business card and tell them that if they would like to make a change in their life or know anyone that would, feel free to give you a call.
There are many different ways of handling the conversation but however it occurs, natural is always better. If you sound like you have a script you're using, they will shy away. I am one that despises a salesperson that sounds scripted or is pushy! It is all about listening to the prospect and learning what their needs are before even mentioning anything about business. If they aren't comfortable with revealing their desires to you then it is unlikely they would be comfortable enough to join a business with you. So, Make natural contact, listen to the prospect to see if they are unhappy with their situation. Once you know what their dreams are, it will be easier for you to decide if your business is even something that can provide them with what they desire.
