Bleeding the Weak

Capitalism with a capital C!

Some people just don't have any respect for others!

Those that answer to the 'Mystery Shopper' ads or want to 'Work at Home' are usually those that already don't have a penny to spare!

No, not trying to use bad language, but I feel so sorry for this recent victim!

Mystery Shoppers

So you get an email, sometimes supposedly from your best friend, and it offers you thousands to make as mystery shoppers....

A recent victim answered the 'call', filled out the application, received the check via mail....

She was to deposit the check and send part of it to another account; leaving her with about $500!

One morning she tries to take money out of her bank account... and finds her bank account overdrawn by the amount of that check send to her...

That account was long closed!

For somebody who didn't have a penny to spare to begin with... this scam was almost fatal!

Work at Home... after you pay all these fees and signed up for spam...

I applied for a work-at-home position once and suddenly I received about 100 letters from such companies A WEEK!

The fee was suppose to be cheap...

That study guide for the post office exam was only suppose to be a few dollars... AND DIDN'T HAVE SH..... TO DO WITH THE POST OFFICE!

It was a scam!

In the end it didn't stop until I moved without having my mail forwarded!

How did I feel? I felt ...violated, screwed over, lied to, discouraged, frustrated, harassed by the hundreds of other fake letters!

Maybe I sound pessimistic, but that seems to be the truth! Good things don't come that easy. I know the feeling of turning every penny twice, but I also belief in God! He's never let me down when I truly needed help.

And if you don't belief in him, there are ways to find help. There are many programs out there for people that struggle! It takes a little effort and sometimes luck to find them, but it is possible!

Don't become a victim!

Humanity is the only species that hurts and kills for sport! ...The only species that is truly materialistic!

I wish there was a way to distinguish one from another. It is either a great income for somebody that often desperately needs it... or their final blow.

Good warning about the mystery shoppers scam Cat R. Have known some who worked part-time for the legit ones though. Suppose its just a matter of discernment - learning how to spot the dis-honest cretins.

Cat R, I couldn't agree more, what lowest of the low thinks up these scams, knowing that the people who take them up are the very people who can least afford to lose money and are so desperate they are willing to try any job just to get work - and then these scum, scam them. Voted up and useful.

It's sad that they go after those that already struggle. But I guess that makes them easier victims.

Some years ago I, too, fell for one of these scams -- it's a hard lesson -- fortunately I got out minimally scathed but have never forgotten the feeling of stupidity I felt -- or the anger at being taken. Great Hub - Best/Sis
