Free Money to Spend On Black Friday, Cyber Monday or Christmas

Updated on October 13, 2011

Free Money?

As a mother of five children ages: 2, 3, 4, 16 and 19. I am always looking for bargains, deals, and ways to increase or supplement my income. Several years ago I started taking surveys. In the beginning, I think I belonged to about ten or more, Now, I have it narrowed down to about five or so. The ones that really make me money and don't just send me on survey after survey with nothing in return.

Times are hard...for everybody. College students with Masters degrees working at fast food restaurants? Attorneys having to take on different fields to bring business. Many others robbing, cheating, stealing and so on. Why go through all of that?

Every year, I used to be broke on Black Friday, on Cyber Monday and very last minute on Christmas. Trying to find good gifts for everybody, especially with such a large family, can be difficult. So, I am sharing different ways to make money with you.

1. Have a garage sale.

Always check with your city for rules and regulations on having a garage sale. Some cities may require a permit or have rules about days and hours that you can have it. There may also be rules on signage for your sale. With that being said, you can get rid of a lot of stuff and turn a pretty good profit from a garage sale.

2. Sell stuff on eBay.

eBay has been responsible for building some great entrepreneurs. It costs nothing to join and the cost is minimal to list items. Sometimes they run specials on listings and that's a great advantage. You don't pay anything unless your items sell and you can sell most anything on eBay from drawings to clothes to shoes to electronics.

3. Take online surveys.

There are many, many surveys to take online. Careful which ones you join. Most of them you can start taking surveys the same day. You can test products at home and make money simply by giving your opinion of the product you are testing or products you use everyday. After reaching a certain amount of money, usually $10.00 or $20.00 you can request a check.

Don't wait till the last minute! Christmas is right around the corner!!  Best of luck! Now go make that money!

      Hi Stayingalivemoma,

Great advice here! I got involved with surveys a few years ago but they were not great companies. You are right when you say you have to be careful which companies you try. I have heard that Toluna is great and thank you for sharing them.
