Get A Fingerhut Credit Line Even If You Have REALLY Bad Credit

Updated on January 31, 2011

I will start out by saying that I have the WORST credit. I mean, it's REALLY bad. There are many reasons for it happening and it happened all within 6 months time and it just kept going down from there. So, now I'm back to trying to rebuild it and it's hard, I mean REALLY hard. Not only paying off old debt, but by having to pay a high interest rate on things to re-establish it.

Well right before Christmas I was trying to figure out what to get who and my finances were really low, since I lost my job in the beginning of December. So things were tough. I stumbled upon Fingerhut. They have a lot of nice things, but you may pay more for them. That's the price you pay when you screw up your credit. I had an account with them years and years ago, and I have to say, screwed that up too, so I was COMPLETELY shocked when I took a stab at filling out an application and was actually approved! Are they nuts??? Or am I??? Their standards must be really low. None the less, I was grateful for the extra money they offered me and shopped away! I plan to pay it off this month with my income tax return. I will continue to order at least 1 item from them, so I can keep building up my credit. I learned to not go overboard, the hard way!

So if you are looking to rebuild your credit, or just like the things Fingerhut has to offer, fill out their online application and get approved in seconds and start rebuilding YOUR credit!

I had the same problem with my credit, fingerhut gave me a $200 limit, I didn't use more than 30% of my limit (and still don't) and i paid it off in full BEFORE the due date, in turn, fingerhut raised my limit to $600. Again i am not using more than 30% of my limit and will be paying my balance in full tomorrow morning, my account due date says "N/A". Hopefully this encourages them to raise my limit again

MsDonna48, It's soooo hard and it's down right embarrassing. I can't believe I let it happen. This is a new Year and I have "Repairing my credit" as one of my resolutions! So, no, you are NOT alone! Thanks for visiting my hub and leaving the comment, it helps ME to feel as if I'm not alone! Best wishes!

Your story sounds like mine when I started to rebuild my credit. Fingerhut helped me out too. I still have my account and make my payments as soon as my statement comes out. I also try to pay more than the minimum. Thanks for reminding me that I am not alone concerning credit problems.
