How To Set Adsense For My Youtube Videos

Updated on October 30, 2012

HOW TO LINK YOUTUBE VIDEOS WITH GOOGLE ADSENSE

How do I link my YouTube and Adsense accounts?

The question of how to monetize a youtube video by displaying Google ads on it is now the latest panorama on the internet today, with more and more people wishing to make money from their videos uploaded on the internet. To help ameniorate this current problem, I have written this hub to guide every individual aspiring to participate in the Youtube Partnership Program (YPP) or Individual Video Partnership (IVP).

What Is YPP and IVP?

YPP is a youtube partnership program, that allows video owners with youtube to make money from their videos while reaching to the global audience through online, by displaying Google ads on their videos as they play.

On the other hand, IVP is just similar to YPP, but it is for individuals with individual videos that are not uploaded on youtube. For both, Google offers them the opportunity to make monetize their videos by displaying google ads on them.

How Can One Participate In The YouTube Partnership Program?

To participate in either Youtube Partnership Program or Individual Video Partnership (IVP), which simply means to start displaying google ads on your videos to earn money, you need the following:

1.     A video or videos that comply with the Google Adsense and Youtube Partnership Program policies (you can check them on youtube and adsense sites)

2.     Your video must have not less than 500 subscribers (people who subscribe to watch or view videos you upload on youtube)

3.     Your video must also have not less than 1000 views per day (if you have lesser than that, I doubt youtube will invite you for their YPP)

4.     You must have an approved active (not banned) google adsense account

Once you meet the above criteria, you are good to go, so let’s forge ahead.

Note: If your youtube video meets requirements 1 to 3, youtube team will send you a invitation or request to join in the Youtube partnership program, through your youtube account email, but if they didn’t send you, you can apply. Now, to link your youtube account with your google adsense account to start displaying google ads for money, follow the steps below:

Steps To link my YouTube and Adsense accounts

1. Sign in to your AdSense account.

2. Allow YouTube to access your AdSense account. This is done under the “My Account” tab and then the “Account Access” section.

3. Sign in to your YouTube account (Note: sign in on a separate browser if your YouTube login email address is different from your AdSense login).

4. Click on the link in the notification box appearing on your homepage asking you to link your YouTube account to an AdSense account.

5. Enter your AdSense account information in the appropriate field.

Please once you have done this, be patient, it is not an automatic process that synchronizes immediately it is done; it may take up to 24 hours for your YouTube and AdSense accounts to link. Once you have submitted your AdSense information, please ignore any requests for you to link the two accounts. You should receive an email from YouTube once the accounts have been linked.

Once the two accounts are linked, soon google ads will start displaying on your youtube videos, and you start to earn from it the way you earn with your articles, hubs or blog.

IF YOU ONCE APPLIED FOR YPP OR IVP AND GOT DISAPPROVED BY ADSENSE

I am aware of some people or individuals who applied for youtube partnership program or the individual video partnership program and got disapproved, to solve that problem, if you got disapproved for domain ownership and can’t reapply through youtube account or you usually get the message “Account not active” on your youtube account, follow the steps below to rectify the problem and get you application approved for YPP or IVP.

How to reapply once my previous AdSense application has been removed?

1. Log into your YouTube account

2. go to “Link Your Google AdSense Account”

3. Choose “I need to create a new Google AdSense account”

Note: you will be taken to the page where you are required to provide your account information.

Alternatively:

Lodge a complaint with the url you once applied with here: I want to reapply for my youtube partnership program with adsense

If the account was not still approved, get directly in touch with Google Adsense Teams for Youtube Partnership Program here: Special YPP Complaint

Good luck guys, I hope this helps you as you continue to earn more and more with Google Adsense Program.
