I love to cruise. Having enjoyed cruises with family and friends, I've learnt a few things about saving money on holidays!

Love to cruise but would like to save some money while enjoying your holiday? Cruising offers a variety of options to do things your own way. This flexibility means you can choose how, when and where to spend any extra dollars onboard. Read on for some great money- saving ideas and tips.

1. Included Restaurants can represent good savings

1. Included restaurants such as Windjammer Cafe and Main Dining Rooms on cruise ships can offer good food without having to pay extra for your meals if you're looking to save money.

The variety of food onboard in included restaurants can be really good without the need to pay for additional food in specialty restaurants if you want to save dollars on your holiday.

Some included restaurants offer formal and theme nights so be sure to check when these are on to vary your holiday experience!.

2. Specialty food and beverage packages

If you enjoy specialty dining or beverage packages, you can often research available packages ahead of time by accessing the ship's cruise planner before you cruise.

You may also be able to view sample menus and beverages to see what is included and if the packages suit your needs and save you money. Some ships bundle multiple specialty restaurant dining deals into one package so it can worth checking if it will save you money!

3. Cruise Specials Once Onboard

Keep an eye out for specials once you're onboard the ship.
