How to get PayPal Buttons to Work on your Joomla Website?

Updated on January 25, 2014

Getting payment buttons to work with Joomla 1.6 & 1.7

No need to change your Editor or Buy Joomla Extension

The Video above will show you exactly what you need to do to get your Paypal buttons to work on your Joomla 1.6 & 1.7 Website. With the newer versions Joomla has blocked out different scripting code that allows the paypal "buy now" and subscription buttons to work. Therefore you need to set options in the text filtering category of your Joomla website so that the coding will not be stripped away when you paste your Website button codes to your Joomla Articles.

I researched different ways of getting the buttons to work in my Joomla Administration area and I even installed a Free Paypal Extension to use. The paypal plugin didn't work like it was suppose to. This is probably because it was a free Joomla extension. Many people suggested buying a Joomla Paypal extension and I knew there had to be another option. I finally found out how to get my payment buttons to work. So I created this article to help others with the same problem. I also did my first Website Video Tutorial above. Short, sweet and to the point. Good Luck on your Joomla Website!

Very good and important advice. The PayPal button seems to be THE preferred way to pay now.

      Thanks for SHARING.
