How to Increase Google AdSense Revenue using ColorZilla

Updated on June 11, 2011

ColorZilla - A Firefox Plug-in

Plugins and Add-ons can be utilized to increase the AdSense earnings from your websites and blogs. There are several Firefox plugins available that can be very helpful to increase Google AdSense click-through rate. These plugins can be used while designing your web-pages or while selecting text colors. ColorZilla is such a plug-in that can definitely increase the click-through rate of Google Ads. After installing ColorZilla on your 'Firefox browser', you can check the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) values for any point in your browser. 'ColorZilla' puts an eyedropper icon in the status bar. When you click on it, you will get a cross-hair cursor, which shows the RGB values of the pixel under the cross-hair in the status bar. These color readings can save decent amount of time to find out the exact text color of various headings and text. You can use the same color scheme as of the website while promoting your hubs and other content. You can then change the settings and text color of your Google Ads to exactly match with your content.

By using ColorZilla, you can also measure the distance between two points on the page. You can also zoom-in and zoom-out content to easily get the color-readings and to calculate the distance between any two points on the page. There are various other features that can be useful while designing your page. One such feature is ‘Webpage DOM Color Analyzer’; you can use this feature to find out all elements on the webpage having similar color scheme. You can also find the CSS rules for the given color.

Snapshot of ColorZilla

This snapshot shows the RGB values both in decimal and hex. After that, it is showing the relative position of the cursor. In this case it is 21, 149; these are the relative distance between two points measured in pixels. 21 is horizontal distance and 149 is vertical distance represented by X and Y respectively. After that value ‘h1’ is indicating type of the text; in this case it is ‘Heading-1’, means ‘Hub Traffic Statistics’ has used ‘h1’ heading tag, and if you will check ‘YOUR HUBS’, it has used ‘h3’ heading tag. This way you can analyze any webpage and its content and utilize this information to design your own page without needing prior technical expertise. Now you are ready to maximize your Google AdSense revenue to make more money and your webpage will also look much better with same color combinations.
