Life Pro Tips for the Internet

Updated on April 18, 2014

I've always been a firm believer that the only way you could make money on the internet is by selling people something for making money on the internet. What I have learned though is that there are thousands of ways to make money online. It's just that most people who find a clever new way to do it just wouldn't be too vocal about announcing their findings at the risk of it affecting their own income stream. There are however, some standard tips that are generic enough to be applied to any money making success idea.

Couple of No-Brainers

Register a Domain
I'll start with an easy one. For around $10 to register a domain for a year, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Not only will it increase your link authority by not backing a sub domain, but it will be an all round traffic booster due to human variables.
You can't tell me that you would be as likely to click a link that had an address of
http://www.a4353.somegenerichost.mt/july23431/user.htm as opposed to www.yoursite.com.
Which one do you think holds more weight?

Don't Buy Links
This may be a personal opinion so don't hold me here, I just wouldn't risk it. It's buying some instant gratification late at night, which passes just as quickly as it came.
Whats worse is the potential blacklist spear it could be dragging all over the internet's water cooler. I just don't want to deal with the hassle of having to close down a whole campaign and start again from scratch from a different domain; I'm just far too sleepy for all that nonsense.

Be Humble

It can be good sometimes not to let your tongue get too loose. There are a million potential ideas out there and if you're reading this blog then you probably have some in your head already. The trick is not to let go of your great ideas too soon or they might explode without you. Patience is key.

Don't Buy Your Advice

Time and time again I see advertisements for the latest secret way to make money. All you have to do is pay the subscription. My advice is..don't. If an idea actually made money, why would people then be needing to sell you the information. I've found I can get a lot more quality advice from real people's experiences on forums where people are open and happy to discuss their success stories.

Ask for Help

Any successful idea is going to have a lot of moving parts. You may have a fantastic idea, but without the right execution, it may be just a passing thought. Just because you want to make a sandwich, that doesn't mean that you need to bake the bread every time. Not only will it take you a lot longer, but without being a specialized baker it will most likely end up costing more. The same applies to your ideas for success. You may have a fantastic new idea for a coffee delivery business, but that doesn't necessarily mean you need to know the in depth workings of building the website. There are professionals who do this stuff for a living, and quite cheaply too. It's not as satisfying as doing it yourself, but why are you here? To feel good or to win?

My Personal Advice
Don't Get Greedy, tread lightly and carry a big fish
It's one of those lessons you just have to learn for yourself in order to understand how to work with it. All the reading in the world isn't going to give you 100% of the answer, things change all the time. The trick is not to get too excited, start slow and always test the waters first before putting anything at risk

Adapt or Die
The internet is always changing, that's the beauty of it. It is a sea of potential that everyone tried to grab. If it wasn't for new advances and developments in technology, we would never be able to find new, undocumented ways of becoming the rulers of the internet. This is our world now

Never Give Up
You will win. We will win. It's all one big game that everybody tries to compete. And like all games, some get good at it. Real good. Make it you because there's no reason why it can't.

What's you're residual income?
