Make Money With DevHub

Updated on February 16, 2010

Well, DevHub is very similar to Hubpages. It allows you to publish material to the web, for free, and monetize it. There are however a few differences that you Hubbers might find interesting. The biggest difference is that DevHub allows you to publish an entire site as opposed to single hubs, pages, or lenses. It may not sound like a big deal, but this allows you to create an authority site that lets you delve deeper into subtopics instead of a bunch of separate pages. You have the option to use a subdomain for free, like yoursite.devhub.com or you can use your own domain. If you do not have a domain or a registrar you currently use, you can purchase it right through DevHub!

More Monetization Options

The other huge difference between DevHub and single page creators is the built in monetization options. You have the option to use Pay Per Impression, Click, Lead, or Action. How cool is that! No longer are you limited to contextual advertising, Amazon, and eBay! Last night I started on my first DevHub site (it is still a work in progress, so no link for you!), and as soon as I published the first page, it was monetized. It looks like Amazon is one of the affiliates they use, I added a module to my page and it listed a bunch of books with new and used prices. I also threw in a text ad module which looks like your standard contextual ad block.  After checking their features page, it says they are working with "35 premiere Internet partners".  Just remember, you do not have to use them all, but it is nice to ahve them for when you need them.  Let's face it, AdSense is not always the best choice for monetizing a site.

The modulaes are insane!

There are so many modules you can add to your page, I have not even had the time to try them all out yet. Take a look at the screen shot to the right and see for yourself. The one I am most interested in is playing around with the property listings. Also, I intend to spend some more time with the Flights/Car Rentals and Hotels module. I have always wanted to build a nice travel site, and now with DevHub I have the proper methods to monetize it. The best part is I do not have to sign up for individual affiliate programs, it is all included with DevHub!

The possibilities are endless for novices like me that would have no idea how to even begin to code a travel or job site.  Those are just a few ideas I came up with real quick, I am sure many of you can think of a ton more than me.

Superior Layout Options

When you set up your site, you have the option of single, double, or three column layouts. Within these layout templates, you can arrange your modules however you want. No longer are you limited to having AdSense show up wherever the publisher feels like. You have full control over where you want the modules to show up and it is simple as "drag and drop". Watch the video to see how easy it is!

The two videos below are featured sites on DevHub.

Whether you prefer to use Hubpages, Squidoo, or Infobarrel to get your work published, you owe it to yourself to at least check out DevHub. I am telling you, you will not be disappointed. It is one of the easiest web site creators I have ever used.

Create your FREE DevHub account today and start earning some cash!

I almost forgot, in order to get paid, you need to fill out a W-9 and fax it to their office.  If you live outside the United States, I think you have to fill out a W-8.  You can either download the form from their site or go to the IRS and download it.
