Making Peanuts With List My Five

Updated on October 16, 2010

I started List My Five a month ago.  You basically write a list of five things and explain why you put those things on the list of 5.  For example, if you want to list your 5 favorite Dunkin Donuts then write a few sentence about each one.  You have to write at least 25 words for each item on your list.  It is not too difficult to write a list.  Since the list are based on your opinion, you can write lists that are the same or similar to other List My 5 members.  No two list should be the same.

The work is fun but since I try to put quality in the content of my list, I have to give the writing a lot of thought.  So the writing can be a lot of work.

List my 5 appears to be a new website.  There really isn't much data about how much money people are making.  I will continue to write lists and see what happens a year later. The part about making money doesn't look too promising so far.  Just like any blog or online writing gig, revenue is dependent on content, views, and traffic.  So far, I made enough money to buy 30 peanuts.  I really hope this site takes off.  My lists can be found at

I also am writing for List My Five and have earned 91 cents so far this month. I made over $2 in September. I am hoping that I can make it to the $10 payout by the end of the year, but I will have to publish more than my current 9 lists.
