Retired on a Pension- Share your Knowledge and Earn Money from Home

Are you Bored at Home in Retirement? You have waited years for retirement, with no gold watch for all those years of services anymore. Well at last you can do the things you only dared to dream about.

True the first six months were great. And the holiday spent relaxing beside the beautiful ocean sipping those little brown stubbies or white wine sure helped.

Now back home again, you have fixed the fence, painted the house and dug a new veggie patch, for the missus to go out and pick her fresh vegetables and salads. Now what!

Active all your life, as an executive, a plumber, a laborer, it makes no difference. We all feel suddenly empty. There is no real purpose or incentive to get up, in the mornings anymore. Many people suffer from this same sense of boredom.

Many men turn to their back yard sheds and take up hobbies, making wooden toys, lead lighting, or similar. While the women may turn to crafts, sewing, or looking to visits from the grandkids.

Let me show you how you can change your way of life.

Earn Money Writing on your computer

You will say that you cannot write anything and have no real experience. That may be true, although like any new job, you learn as you go by reading and learning from others. If you enjoy reading, then you will soon learn how the others are earning money from home. And most pensioners could do with a few extra dollars these days.

If your present lifestyle is not enough for you, then why not give this a go. It could give you a new interest and lease on life. Let’s face it, we all have a brain and they tell us if we don’t use it we will lose it. I know It has done wonders for me and earning a few dollars in the process, is a bonus.

Requirements Needed

  • You will need a computer and a basic knowledge on how to use it
  • An Internet connection
  • Notebook to keep your usernames and passwords in
  • A desk to put the computer on
  • A few hours to spend writing

Now you need to go on the internet and read, read and learn more before you start.

Ideas to get you started

How to earn money “Writing Articles” for the beginner

Do you know how to make anything at all?  Could you explain step by step on paper how to make a Christmas cake, or become a stamp collector, or how to grow and keep those veggies in your garden?  If you can, then read this article to give you ideas on writing a DIY article.

How to earn money writing short sentences and fillers

Earn money writing letters and fillers to magazines.  This is a very simple way to earn a few dollars to build up your confidence.  Anyone can do this, even without a computer.  The magazines, still take hand written articles.

Work at Home and Earn Money Writing Articles on the Internet

Once you feel more confident. Start writing articles for several internet Adsense sharing sites. The idea is to register with these sites before you start. You will need a username and a password. Keep these written down in your notebook. I know you think you will remember it. Wrong. Once you have joined several, you will not remember which one you used for which. Don’t take chances, this is an important part of working on the internet.

Hubpages is a great writing site. If you are reading this, then you have more than likely already joined hubpages, if not then go ahead and join now. Start writing and earning money. You can add images to all articles and add Amazon ads, where people can click on the ads to buy products online. You earn extra money from these as well as earning money from your articles through Adsense.

Info barrel is another high Adsense paying site. Write an article, then they will let you know when it is published. Once you have written ten articles, you can put them on the internet yourself. This gives them an idea of the type of writer you are. You can also add images to the articles. They are also very helpful.

Helium is a very helpful site. They have many topics there to write about. You can also compete in contests or the marketplace.

When joining these sites, it is common courtesy to leave comments on other people’s written articles if they were well written and informative to you.

So! There you have it. What are you waiting for, start reading, learning, writing and “Earning Money”?

There are also Advantages and Disadvantages of working at home

Thanks so much for this article. It has given me the impetus to keep doing my blog after all. I have been searching for ways and means of helping pensioners earn extra dollars online for quite a while, and was beginning to think it wasnt working. so thank you very much.

Here is a place which I have found very profitable, especially since it has a Auto-responder that works great without the usual heavy costs.

Thank you for sharing this with all of us, Eileen. You recommended some great places in which writers can showcase their talents. Another great place that I would recommend is I just started there a few months ago and and am now reaping the rewards of writing for them. Thank you for sharing.

Been there, doing that ( well at least some of it) do I find it rewarding - NO - but it does fill a void and keeps me in practice with keeping words flowing. Ms Popularity - no, not I, ah well, we'll live to see another day, enjoy yourself, anyway.
