At last, the long awaited New Year has arrived and it’s January 2013 after the year 2012 that passed away with several ups and downs. There were many other people who just went on vacation or had taken long leaves and were enjoying their holidays and also shopping for different types of items, either online or from local stores, and there were a few people who were doing limited shopping in the December month and were waiting for January to come. Shopping in 2013 - Saving Money, Finding Deals, Being Smart – Buy out of Season
The new or recent arrivals and old or discontinued, many stores offer low prices, even in more expensive units, making them accessible to most pockets. But how and when we can find the best deals? The key in finding the best prices is to buy out of season, i.e., when the product is in less demand. For an example when it comes to clothes and accessories, you can find great deals when they are out of season. When the weather starts to change and there is arrival of winter, the shopping stores give way to the bathing suit. The demand for these items is less and the price thereof is considerably reduced because the store owners have to make room for the next season’s fresh items, so they try to get rid of all outdated items of previous season lowering their prices even more and more. So it's not uncommon to find ridiculously low prices in the market at that time to save money and being smart.

Also, there are several products available in the market that are not governed by the seasons, but have their own rules. In many cases, these items come in models of the year, meaning that with each new year, there is arrival of a new product, so the principle of "out with the old" also applies to the shopping stores. The companies manufacturing household items like furnished items and electrical appliances, etc. put on the market its new products; therefore, they are forced to reduce the prices of their outdated stocks or outdated models for example cars, etc. Moreover, December is the month in which mostly all the shopping stores in the Western world bring out fresh items with increased cost. Some smart store owners sell their items as fresh, which were previously on sale in this month because of increased demands due to the holiday season, so the months after that which means January and February are almost always to find the best deals and make purchases because now the demand is reduced and there are not enough buyers in the market to purchase their items and this time is best for saving money and being smart.
I live in New Delhi, India and here the sale period starts from February month and that is why I am waiting for the month of February to shop for items and find deals, which will be on sale. There are many shopping stores in Delhi, which display different types of items on up to 50% sale in this month and I am doing this every year to save money.
Now, you must be able to understand why these few people were doing limited shopping in December or holiday month and were waiting to do shopping in 2013. Just because they are being smart and wanted to find best deals, saving money throughout the year 2013, so now you are a better judge that who is a smart shopper, a person who spends extravagantly buying unnecessary items which were previously on sale and are displayed in the fresh items section with increased prices due to the holiday season demand or a person who shops for really necessary items in the holiday months and waits for the sale period to come to find best deals on shopping.
