Slicethepie: Listen to Music and Get Paid

Updated on March 23, 2013

Are you a music lover? Do you like being one of the first to discover new artists? Great! Music is a whole world you can explore. But what if someone actually paid you to listen to songs? Slicethepie.com is the site that does exactly that. Not only does it let you discover new artists, but it's also a great way to make money online while doing something you love - listening to fresh songs from emerging artists.

Don't know about you, but I love listening to music while I work. Most of the time I listen to classical music and opera (even heavy stuff like Wagner), but I also like to know what's going on in the modern music world. Listening to the radio is not a good option, because I simply don't like their choice of songs. And what really annoys me is that there is no way I can influence the choice of music on the radio and tell the artists when their songs are... um... crap. So I stuck to classical music until I stumbled upon Slicethepie.

Slicethepie.com is a website that helps emerging bands and musicians to raise money and release an album and it does it in a really good honest way. Basically, Slicethepie lets us, the audience, determine which bands and singers deserve to be financed by encouraging us to rate songs on a scale of 1 to 10 and leave reviews. The artists that get the best ratings and reviews are financed to release an album. The best bit is that Slicethepie pays us to do the reviewing and rating.

How does Slicethepie work

Slicethepie is not difficult to figure out. All you need to do is create and account and become what they call a Scout. Once your account is activated, you will be offered to listen to compositions, review and rate them. You can start writing your review as soon as the song starts playing, but you have to listen to it for 90 seconds to be able to rate it.

Slicethepie earnings depend on how well you review. You can earn from $0.02 to $0.16 per review. As you start, your earnings will be on the lower side. But that is easily fixed as you gain Experience points and Rank. The more of each you have, the better you are paid. The earnings are not at all bad considering that you only have to listen to 90 seconds of the track to be able to rate and review. Generally speaking, a review doesn't take long because you can write as you listen, which means that you can earn quite a bit per hour. All while listening to (mostly) nice songs. Slicethepie pays via PayPal and the minimum payout is $10.

Slicethepie.com is a really fun way to earn money on the Internet. All you need to do is listen to some songs every day and you can easily make $50 per month. All while supporting emerging artists too.

I wanted to share my experience and let you know of yet another way (a very good way, in my opinion) to make money online. Hope you make lots of money on Slicethepie and discover cool new bands!
