Wanted to do last minute shopping
To find a bargain or not
If you have to do any holiday shopping, I implore you to go as early as possible. The experience that I had on yesterday will be one that I will never forget. My daughter wanted to do some Christmas shopping, unfortunately for me at the last minute. We get into the car and drive over to this store called Foreman Mills. It was crowded, but the checkout line was so long....I mean long to where it extended to the back of the store. I actually wanted to turn around and leave, but I did not want to disappoint my daughter
As we looked around and shopped, I found myself becoming tired and agitated. My daughter finally picked out the desired clothing of her choice; she went and tried them on and then we went to the checkout line. I tell you, that was the longest line ever. We stood in line for about 45 minutes to an hour. Finally, we made it up to the checkout and purchased our items. As we walked out of the store, my feet were singing a painful song, my legs ache, and my brain was screaming to hurry and get home. All I could do when I got home was to hurry and get in the bed for some much needed rest.
Ask yourself is it really worth going to shop at the last minute. I think not. Whatever bargains that were there at that moment at that store, more than likely, those same items will be there after the holidays. In fact, you will find even more good sales than before the holidays. Next year, I will definitely have a plan in place to tackle my holiday shopping: get an early start before the holidays.
Update: October 2012, the holiday season is just around the corner. I will make sure that I have my finances in order so that I can do my holiday shopping early just so I can avoid being in the crowds.
