Trump, Deutsche Bank, and Russia

There is a reason for all things. Being buried under all the headline news of impeachment trials, war with Iran, the Soleimani assassination, there is Deutsche Bank.

Months ago, the bank records of Trump were subpoenaed and subsequently blocked by Trump's legal team. They said they were privileged information, even though, Trump was just a bloke like all of us. After an appeal, the case went up the legal ladder were it now sits in front of the U.S Supreme Court.

There is a reason why Trump is fighting tooth and nail to prevent the records of his loans to be released. That reason will connect all the dots that shows why Trump loves Putin and prefers Russia. When Trump went to this bank, it was a last gasp for him after losing millions in bad deals. All other banks he had gone to denied him loans.

The reason why Deutsche Bank granted him loans that eventually rebuilt his empire is that a Russian bank. VTB, was willing to be the loan guarantor should Trump default repayment! This information came from a former bank employee who is a whistleblower on some of the loans that he reviewed. VTB would have been the Russian bank used had the Trump Tower in Moscow been completed.

The whistle blower who leaked the documents is now dead. The cause of death was suicide, but was it really? Sounds like KGB actions. Trump’s “recovery” depended on selling apartments and buildings to Russian oligarchs at far above market prices in the US and abroad.

For the Supreme Court, it is an odd case to preside over since it deals with two branches of the US government: the Executive (White House) and Legislative (Congress). Just how long will it take?

Now, this case really does explain why Trump is beholden to Putin and Russia when it comes to foreign policy decisions. The dots are connected.
