You have probably heard of Ebates - the online leader in cash back shopping. One of my friends referred it to me and I decided to join. The company has a very easy way to save on your online shopping: sign into Ebates, choose the store you are about to shop at, and get rewards just for shopping.
For example, Kohl's and Macy's get 6% back, Best Buy 2.5% back, Amazon 4% back, Ebay 3%.
They have over 2,000 stores to select from: big department stores, specialty stores, cellular phone companies, jewelry, shoes, garden and home supplies - you name it!
Every 3 months, Ebates will send you a cash back payment for purchases posted during the previous quarter. If you have earned less than $5.01 cash back, Ebates will carry over your money to the next check. Also, when referring a friend, Ebates will credit your account with $5.00 cash.
You will get paid by check, PayPal, gift cards or you can donate the money to a charity, organization or even a family member. Ready for even better news? Mailing fees (for check) and sender's fees (for PayPal) are on them!
Pro: What I really like about Ebates is that every time you are on the intended website, you get an so called "Tracking Ticket". When you are done shopping, you will receive an email with the cash back information. Easy, safe and more money in your wallet.
Mr. Rebates
Mr. Rebates has the same concept as Ebates. Signing up for their program takes no more than a minute. Choose your store either from the list on the left, or by typing its name in the search box.
Per Mr. Rebates website:"Cash Back Rebates that are earned by you as a result of a purchase from Affiliate Merchants will be held in an account maintained by Mr. Rebates that is accessible online. Cash Back Rebates can be requested as payment via check or Paypal once the amount in your "Available Rebates" account equals or exceeds $10.00 US Dollars. You, as the Member, must request payment through the appropriate mechanism on the Mr. Rebates web site."
Pro: Mr. Rebates has a referral program. When someone you refer signs up for Mr. Rebates, you’ll get 20% of their cash back amounts as a commission.
It is also wise to compare Ebates and Mr. Rebates, see which company offers the best deal on cash back for your favorite store, then go for it!
I have an account with both, and love the effortless savings that come from simple shopping. I bought a new laptop from Best Buy thru Mr. Rebates because they offered 3% back, in comparison to 2.5% back at the Ebates.
Online shopping has its perks, and having the ability to search, compare, and save even more - now that's what I call a happy shopping experience!
