WoMens Watches on eBay

Updated on April 28, 2012

Yes, women need watches.

Everyone wants to know what time it is, but no one wants to ask the person behind them in line at Starbucks. Even women need accurate timekeeping accoutrement. A fancy wristwatch or a haute couture pendant with a digital timepiece in it makes a perfect gift for a woman you might know.

Do not wait until the last minute to shop online for fancy watches. Auctions at our favorite site, eBay, last only 7-10 days. Special offers and one-of-a-kind timepieces are snapped up like clockwork by savvy bidders. All you need is a credit card and a woman in your mind. The woman could be yourself, but we're not here to judge.

Women want bling

A woman's wrist is really cool, but a woman's wrist with a strategically selected watch is another kettle of fish altogether. When the first female craved the correct time, she asked her husband. Times have changed since then: women can vote, drive cars, and play golf. They deserve to wear watches.

Don't fall prey to the 'unisex' or one-size-fits-all, or generic watch offering all the appeal of a banana peel. Women want other women to notice. Women want to be seen. When paparazzi descend upon unsuspecting celebrity women, are they sporting bland wristwear? Of course they are not. Every average women wants to be exactly like those special woman. EBay is the place to begin your earnest search for appropriate chronological adornments.

Girls also need watches

As Louisa May Alcott so thoughtfully taught us, girls are simply little women. As such, they need to know what time it is. They have to get ready for school. They don't want to miss American Idol or leave the bagel in the toaster too long. All these activities require accurate yet stylish timekeeping equipment. No young lady wants to be seen in a watch that doesn't reflect her sense of style and her parents exorbitant love for her.

Monitor eBay frequently for fantastic deals on watches for girls. You never know what you'll find.

Women play sports that need watches

Many women we know also play sports. Many of these sports require accurate timekeeping that can be provided by a watch. No athletic woman wants to go out for a run when The View starts in 10 minutes: a properly deployed sports watch will prevent such a potential disaster.

These watches are sweat-proof, but women don't sweat; they perspire. Many models also offer heart rate monitoring, lap splits, elevation gain, and cute pink bands. It's all available on eBay for a fantastic price.

Look for the Timex IronWoman watch: you won't find it, but there is a Timex IronMan watch that can be worn by sporty women. This device offers great cachet when athletic women blow past puffing wheezing doughy men in competitive events where watches are worn. EBay has a bunch of them all the time.

Women go to dinner at fancy places

Many women in modern society tend to go on dates. These dates obligate proper dress. A nice pair of shoes are wonderful, but all eyes will be drawn to a really expensive watch. Don't expect your favorite lady to stroll into an expensive restaurant wearing a cheaply made timepiece that will fall into the soup at the most inopportune time. Look online for expensive products designed to make you proud of yourself.

Be wary of Rolex watches that cost less than comparable Timex units. Imported Rolex knock-offs glut the market. Even reputable sites such as eBay seem awash in cheap watches purporting to be authentic. Expect to spend at least $100 USD to obtain the real thing. We're here to help.

Women wear their watches around their necks

Despite being blessed with two wrists, women sometimes prefer to display their watches from their necks. Be sure to shop for such products on eBay. A wristwatch cannot be worn around the neck of even the most stylish woman. The trend will never catch on.

Just when you think you have women figured out, they start wearing watches on chains wrapped around their throats. Obviously no modern woman can actually see the time on the neck-mounted chronograph, but fashion trumps common sense. We don't make the news, we simply report it.

You know - I love Ebay. I've been a registered user for over seven years. I've only been "taken" twice and the worst was just recently. However, it looks like with PayPal's money back guarantee, I'm going to get all my money back.

In the last few years, I have even bought high end items. There's a science to it - and if you're careful, and not TOO impulsive - you can get high end items for literally a fraction of what you'd ever pay anywhere else. You just have to be patient, save searches and watch and wait for the best deal to come along. I have things I'd never own otherwise because I'd never pay the retail or even sale price for the item (and many high-end items never go on sale anyway). Now I can own these beautiful things and I paid pennies on the dollar for them - literally.

So I'm an Ebay fan and fan of yours as well Nicomp - you always write such cool and informative articles!
