   Forex, which stands for Foreign Exchange, is a market where currencies are traded for different currencies.  For example, if the exchange rate between U.S. Dollars and the British Pound (USD/GBP), you could trade exactly one dollar for one pound.  If the next day, the exchange rate changed to two U.S. Dollars being worth one British Pound, than you could exchange the British Pound you received the day before for 2 U.S. Dollars, effectively doubling your money.
   
   Forex is highly leveraged, meaning you can make a lot of money and you can lose a lot of money.  It's very risky, and I wouldn't recommend it as an investment option unless you educate yourself thoroughly about the market.
