Best Rewards Site: Swagbucks, Instagc or Bing Rewards

Updated on August 24, 2021

Using online reward sites, you can earn gift cards for many major retailers like Amazon and Target. You can earn while you watch TV, cook, do housework. or work on the computer. And these websites aren't scams. They payout rewards for doing surveys and exposing yourself to advertising.

I've been using each of these websites for years and this has been my experience with them. I won't address surveys because I don't feel there's much difference between the sites.

The Easiest Rewards Website

This honor goes to Bing Rewards. If you already have an Outlook or Hotmail account, you can use it to set up your Rewards account. Otherwise, you'll have to set up an account from scratch. All you have to do to earn Bing rewards is perform searches. I use Bing to catch up on the news every day because clicks on their news articles count. If you download the Bing app you can also earn doing mobile searches.

Bing Rewards has a limit on daily earnings, so while it's easy to earn, I usually make only around $80 per year. Still, the ease of earning makes it worth it and gift cards arrive minutes after redemption.

The Biggest Money Maker

Swagbucks has been a big earner for me. I usually earn about 50 to 100 points a day. 2200 points are needed to earn a $25 gift card for several retailers. That 2200 is an option for one gift card per month. Any others you redeem The amount needed to earn $25 from other retailers varies). So I earn about $25 a month. It may not seem like much but it adds up and comes in handy when buying birthday and Christmas presents. And this doesn't really take much time.

One great thing about Swagbucks is their videos app. You can run videos on the app and earn two points per 5 videos. I run the videos whenever I charge my mobile devices. Some of the ads that run between the videos do have to be closed for the videos to continue, so you'll have to keep an eye on them. But for the most part you can make money by running videos while you do something else. I usually run them while I'm doing housework or working on the computer.

The other big money maker with Swagbucks is the search. I've earned between 5 points and 37 points just doing searches. You can make Swagbucks your default search engine and you'll earn points after about 20 or so searches in my experience.

Swagbucks has other easy point earners like Encrave, Take a Discovery Break, nGage and Best of the Web. You can also earn points from offers. I've only done a few but I earned 300 points when I signed up for a free trial of Audible and 150 points when I signed up for Bing Rewards. As you get to know the site you'll find other easy point earners like the Daily Poll. They also pay out for reaching a daily goal. Earning 50 points might pay out a 5 point bonus while 100 may pay out a 10 point bonus. I try to hit the lowest goal per day to earn these bonus points.

The Lowest Earner

For me this has been Instagc. The thing I love about this site is that you get gift certificates instantly unlike with Swagbucks, which takes about a week. But it takes me forever to earn anything. I usually earn just a few dollars a month because I don't feel like it's worth it to put in a lot of time. I usually just run videos and do a few other offers. They don't have an app to earn videos like Swagbucks has. They also banned me from the search because they said I was spamming. I actually rarely used the search and used it the same way I use Swagbucks or Google. So, you can't really use their search engine without worrying about a ban because they're way too strict. Add to that, the points they pay out are really low, usually only one or two points for every 15 or so searches.
