Unfortunately, few of us have minds capable of maintaining mental calendars beyond the next couple of hours. Fortunately, calendars for desk and wall can be purchased online for extremely reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the veritable plethora of calendar makes and models tends to overwhelm even the most sentient of humans, Fortunately, we have compiled a compendium of best-selling calendars that can be purchased for very low prices. Although stereotyping is rather frowned upon, generalizations about members of various species are useful and sometimes even true. When it comes to our ability to organize ourselves, it does seem there are those of us who are good at it and those of us who aren't.

After many decades of unused or, even more dangerous, partly used diaries, day planners, wall calendars and many computer programs, I have recognized that I am a hopeless case who once prided himself on a good memory and got by and quick wit when it didn't work well.

Both wit and memory are now in decline and I'm now having to make a stab at recording future events immediately I hear of them - when I remember, I remind myself not to put off the task of recording things until later - I've forgotten to do that enough times to know that that's not a good strategy. Thanks for reminding me to get organized, I think.

nicomp - if one is willing to exist for one month (January) without precise knowledge of what day it is, by the beginning of February, one can purchase a large 12x12" yearly calendar from almost any dollar store for the princely sum of one buck. Trust me.
