if I refuse a job offer in Indiana can I still collect unemployment benefits
I'm thinking the only way to truly get this answered is by calling the IN unemployment line. I know that probably means a lot of busy signals and long hold wait times, but at least you will receive the correct answer!
I can let you know that where I am, one cannot refuse a job unless there is a legally acceptable (defined by unemployment) reason to refuse it. I was able to refuse a position once because of both health concerns due to the hot environment and because I had a job interview for a different job that paid much more on the same day. (Note that my health issues were well documented as I had a proven history to have a legitimate concern.) I received the unemployment for that "refusal period" only because I got the other job I interviewed for. That said, I had to wait weeks before I received it while the whole process was in review.
Maybe IN works differently, but you'll want to call them to find out.
