Who will win Amazon or California?

As you may have heard, Amazon has banned affiliate marketers from CA because of the new CA budget imposing sales tax on Amazon links from CA blog/websites.  Will we the rest of the country soon follow CA's lead or will Amazon manage to keep the internet a "tax-free" zone? (Sort of, anyway.)

depends on more than one factor but the Supreme Court has upheld Amazon and all other internet market sites righ not to charge and collect taxes . . .
CA is grasping at straws rather than rethink it's spending habit - it needs to keep the schools and universities as a priority and politics to the minimum,. But Jerry Brown has never been known for common sense
(no, I am not from CA)

Nearly 10 states have rejected Internet Tax so far. California is the largest internet state, producing nearly 70% of all web based technologies. Unfortunately, the State will win, which kinda stinks.

Web companies and affiliates, profiting by sales or services that are California based might change location to say, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada --even New York, Pennsylvania  and Delaware when the mandate goes through. Sadly, Affiliate programs like Google AdSense/DoubleClick users will be effected also, as the company would have to pay a tax and users in the state as well. It's a real shame...
