2014 Loksabha Election in West Bengal
West Bengal
West Bengal
West Bengal,a state in east India, was established on 1 November 1956 .Kolkata,the ‘Michhil Nagari’(City of Procession) is the Capital of this state.In an area of 88,752 km2 a total of 91,347,736 people live here. The most watchable of this state is its density which is 1,000/km2 . The rate of literacy here is 77.08% .M.K. Narayanan is its present Governor.Popular Mamata Banerjee is its present Chief Minster from All India Trinamool Congress which was formed by by humanitarian Mamata Banerjee herself out of Congress some years ago.
Next Prime Minister ?
Possibilities of BJP and Congress in West Bengal
Rahul Sinha ,the state secretary , has earlier has said that the party hopes to win Darjeeling, Krishnanagar, Bongaon and Asansol Lok Sabha seats. S.S. Ahluwalia is the BJP candidate from Darjeeling. The party has a strong faith to win this seat with the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha from Darjeeling from where Jaswant Singh ,BJP high profile leader, had obtained its only seat in 2009 Loksabha.Satyabrata Mookherjee , who had won in 1999 from Krishnanagar and was minister of state in the Vajpayee's regime, is the BJP candidate this time . Babul Supriyo,a famous singer, is the party candidate from Asansol. But it must be admitted that here in West Bengal BJP has no organizational strenghth.Modi wave will be interrupted for this very reason.
Is it Congress in West Bengal to put its claws in the upcoming Loksabha election? This election is a real acid test for Congress here in West Bengal.In the Loksabha of 2009 and Assembly election in 2011 Congress fighted here along with Trinamool Congress.Now it is a lone battle for Congress here in West Bengal.Previously in 2009 Loksabha ,Congress succeeded to obtain six seats ,but with an ally with Trinamool Congress.Now it has left its hand and is going to be the tuff opposition for Congress Party.Adhir Chowdhury has been employed as the president of Congress in the state.He is superly known as the contender or teh real jawan of Congress in West Bengal.He is also known for his work in Berhampore .He won even in the young stages of CPIM at Berhampore.Congress workers are animated with the newly appointed President .Besides there are so many biggies like Om Prakash,Abdul Mannan,Manas Bhuian ,Goni Khan Chowdhury, Mousam,Dipa Dasmunsi etc are nominated in the upcoming Loksabha.So it is found Congress is determined to get the power back.

Trinamool Supremo Mamata Banerjee
Issues in West Bengal
There are 42 Loksabha seats in West Bengal .In 2009 ,the Trinamool Congress (TMC) won 19 seats .Its the then ally Congress won six seats. The Left Front won 15 seats . BJP and Socialist Unity Centre of India obtained one each seat respectively.
Muslim Votes :- AIUDF is the second largest party in Assam and it is based on the the muslim votes only.It is the opposition in Assam Bidhansabha. In West Bengal there is 26% Muslim Votes which is really a great factor in the arena of forming power in Loksabha.Communal violence is found in the part of north and west in India;but it is uncommon in West Bengal since the Left Government.But what is bad is the report of Sachar Committee that stated Muslim in Bengal are worse on every ground than their counterparts in most other states. There are 4% of Muslim Governmental service holders in West Bengal.Change of power from Left to Trinamool has not changed things much.But Mamata Banerjee observes if she is to be in power ,she must hold the supports of Muslim voters.So she is giving much importance to the community .She has announced 'bhata' for imams and muezzins.She is continually going to religious place of Muslim and reading 'namaz' .In the other part she has been continually serving the people of Jungle-Mahal and Hill area where chaos prevailed during the governance of Left Front in their last phase.Mamata is to give credit for gaining peace in those areas again.

CPIM Leader Prakash Karat
Clash between Trinamool and CPIM in West Bengal
In 2009 Loksabha the result was as follows;
All India Trinamool Congress(AITMC) = (18)
i) Communist Party of India(Marxist){CPI(M) } = 9
ii) Communist Party of India(CPI) = 2
iii) All India Forward Block(AIFB) =2
iv) Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) =2
Left Front Total =15
Indian National Congress (INC) =6
Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) =1
SUCI =1
Vacant =1
So it is expected that the main fight will be between All India Trinamool Party and the Left Front,between the pair of flowers and the pair of hammer and sickle.Left had been in power for several years,so it has certainly some power engraved.Besides the main power of it has the organizational strength.Though Trinamool Congress has come in power in the Assembly Constituencies Election in full force with the charismatic influential leadership of Mamata Banerjee.She has been trying to develop the state transport system to employment.Her surprise visit to the hospital makes the people feeling for the improvement of hospital facilities.Though the oppositions are continually criticizing her industrialization motto,rape cases,employment crisis,etc.
