We are no better
Love No Longer Matters
On 9/11 the entire US became enraged as our very own people died at the hands of terrorist. As a society we had every right to hate the very people that tore our country apart.
But as I listen to the news each day, are we any better than the very people that killed our people? Every single day one in four children will be abused, belittled, or killed by someone. Every 30 seconds a woman is abused by her spouse, or significant other and out of those women three will die.
We have become a country who have no morals, values, or care about human life so are we any better than the terrorist who plotted to kill us?
Young people killing each other every single day out of hatred towards each other. Elderly being abused by their own children or at the hands of caregivers and even end up dieing because of mistreatment.
Animals left for dead on the side of the road after being brutally beaten by their owner.
As time goes on will it get any better? No. How can we hate people in other countries when right here we are doing the very thing that we hate them for?
You can not cast stones if you live in a glass house. Placing judgement on others actions because they do not live here is not right when we are indeed acting the same way.
In the last five years there have been more homicides then anyone can imagine. Our prison system is full of murderers, rapist, child molestors, and hateful people who have commited the most unthinkable crimes. We don't take the blame for any of these things, but most of the time these things could have been prevented if people would not have looked the other way.
When we see the news about one of our own being killed in another country we get mad, but how many being killed right here will never make the news? I would have to say that we have our own taliban right here and not lead by one leader but many. It saddens me that my own grand children will be affected by so much hatred this world has to offer.
Before you hate another country for killing, start hating your own country for allowing it to happen right here.
