Hello John, I was thinking of the American Indian boy. Of course, I know you are aware the American Indians were here first, then the settlers came and soon their greed took over, stealing their land and forcing them to move to allotted reservations. My father's mother was one half Indian, so I have Indian blood. Thank you for your wonderful poetry.

Hi Ruby, in regard to your request in Poems From the Porch for a poem about "a little Indian boy." Were you thinking "little native American boy" or a little boy from "India." I imagine it is the former but thought I should make sure. lol. "Yobbo" is a common term used here in Australia. Kind of an affectionate term for an uneducated fool.

Hello Nell. This is a new type of poetry, A through Z and we also have another new one, using the same letter for each word. This one was really difficult to do. I like to try new poetry. Thanks for coming by, glad you liked it.

Thanks, Ruby for teaching me two new words. I was unfamiliar with abecedarian and yobbo.

I am watching the impeachment hearings with great interest. History will be the judge of what our senators ultimately do regarding this case currently being debated. It will be hard to call it a trial if documents and witnesses are not allowed. To be determined... I have to go now to watch the hearings which start today in about 20 minutes.

The impeachment is merely an untried indictment... it has happened already. The Senate has to judge if the impeachment is valid and if so, if it requres a punishment, like removal from office.

Hi Ann. The Queen acts like a lady, which is how it should be. Trump could learn from her, but he's so egocentric he probably feels superior. I hate to think that the GOP will overlook the crimes he's committed, if they do, I think they will pay on election day. 72% of Americans think he should be impeached and removed from office. I guess we'll find out soon? Thanks again for your input.

The Queen does a great job of not giving away her thoughts or feelings but it was easy to tell she wasn't comfortable. I'm sure she has as little to do with him as possible, leaving it to her politicians.

I'm astonished that the impeachment will probably not happen!

Hello Devika, I don't expect Hubbers outside of the US to make a judgement concerning Thump, but I know it is well known all over the world what is going on here. It is a shameful situation that we must watch and God willing, react. This is my way of holding him responsible for his unlawful behavior.

Hello Pamela. When we see our nation in peril, and we have a president who will sell to the highest bidder, we must speak-out. Looking the other way is what the people in Germany did, starting a war, killing the Jewish population, allowing Hitler to build concentration camps, they had to know.

Hello Ann. I saw the look of shock on the Queen's face when he was in England. I don't know what He'd said, but I bet it was something outlandish. He is such a phony, she has to see that. Brenda, I am not a mean woman, but enough is enough. He should be in prison! They would burn Obama at the stake and declare a national holiday, instead the GOP is looking the other way. When Russia takes the US over and they are replaced by Putin's friends, we'll see weeping and gnashing, but it will be too late. Thanks for coming to read and commenting.

Hi Lora, your comment echoes my feelings exactly. I can't believe people still believe he is great. There's nothing he wouldn't do to keep the white house. Money is all he's interested in. My hope is that some republicans will break and vote him out, if they do not they will pay dearly when election time comes. I totally agree with your poem, Ruby! What this man has done to the presidency is nothing less than a crime! He has denigrated this office with all of his schemes to get elected and then re-elected and those he assigned to his cabinet are as corrupt and unscrupulous as he is! I cannot believe that the Republican party can continue to just look the other way while he has committed so many impeachable acts that it is hard to even keep track of them all. The most flagrant are his crimes against humanity as so many innocent civilians have died in the Ukraine because he illegally withheld funds that could have helped in their defense as he put his own interest above all that is right and just! He has no honor or integrity and has lied to the American people on every issue to advance his own corrupt agenda. He has compromised even our national security with not only his unscrupulous tactics but with his bungling incompetence! His mentality poses a danger to our Country. If he isn't impeached now, it will be a violation to all the great principles that our forefathers built our great nation on and a dishonor to so many brave Americans who fought so hard and even gave their lives because they believed in the integrity of our Nation and that laws should be applied unequivocally to all people and not just because a president has a certain political affiliation! He has made a mockery of our elections by colluding with a Country that is considered to be a hostile foreign nation to make false accusations about a political adversary just to realize his political ambition and therefore he is an illegitimate president and will always be!
