America Under Siege
Introduction
It seems America is under siege. In 2018, when so many things are going right and moving in the right direction, you would think the opposition will take a breather. Not a chance and some recent events will proof what I mean.
- Sept. 2018
Background
Who is America? It is you and I. It is the guy going to work, going to school, attending a game, going out for dinner with family and friends. It is people from all walks of live, attending church and shopping in malls and taking their kids to a game...
Why is she under siege? It comes down to one word - politics. Because Trump was elected President in 2016, a segment of our population will not accept the outcome. They are hell bent on removing him from office. They are working to take back the House and the Senate in the mid term election.
Who is doing it? There are some called the “deep state” who works in government under various capacities. There are the media. There are ex-politicians. There are candidates for high office. There are individual citizens. Acting alone and collectively, they are trying to disturb a current administration.
Some Examples...
- John Kerry
- Barack Obama
- John Brennan
- Peter Strzok
- Christine Blasey Ford
The Questions?
Can our republic survive top FBI officials leaking to the press?
Can we survive a “deep state” cabal who wants to influence our government?
Can we survive a media creating and reporting on “Fake News”?
Can we survive ex-Presidents going on the campaign trail making disparaging remarks about his successor? Breaking precedence.
Can we survive when a judge’s reputation is dragged through mud just because one may not like his politics?
Can we survive when social media giants like FB and Google and Twitter are openly biased against half of of our population?
Summary
America is under siege. What’s the harm? Can our Republic survive? With half the population disagreeing with the other half on fundamental principles, something has to give.
The latest incident with the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court is a prime example. A person from high school some 36 years ago, came forward to stop the nomination with a sexual misconduct charge against the nominee. Where is the sense of justice?
If this keeps up, no sane person would ever want to serve. Being a President or a judge is public service. Never forget that.
