America Under Siege

Updated on September 17, 2018

Jack is currently a volunteer at the Westchester County Archives. Before retiring, he worked at IBM for over 28 years.

Introduction

It seems America is under siege. In 2018, when so many things are going right and moving in the right direction, you would think the opposition will take a breather. Not a chance and some recent events will proof what I mean.

- Sept. 2018

Background

Who is America? It is you and I. It is the guy going to work, going to school, attending a game, going out for dinner with family and friends. It is people from all walks of live, attending church and shopping in malls and taking their kids to a game...

Why is she under siege? It comes down to one word - politics. Because Trump was elected President in 2016, a segment of our population will not accept the outcome. They are hell bent on removing him from office. They are working to take back the House and the Senate in the mid term election.

Who is doing it? There are some called the “deep state” who works in government under various capacities. There are the media. There are ex-politicians. There are candidates for high office. There are individual citizens. Acting alone and collectively, they are trying to disturb a current administration.

Some Examples...

  • John Kerry
  • Barack Obama
  • John Brennan
  • Peter Strzok
  • Christine Blasey Ford
  • Google
  • Facebook

The Questions?

Can our republic survive top FBI officials leaking to the press?

Can we survive a “deep state” cabal who wants to influence our government?

Can we survive a media creating and reporting on “Fake News”?

Can we survive ex-Presidents going on the campaign trail making disparaging remarks about his successor? Breaking precedence.

Can we survive when a judge’s reputation is dragged through mud just because one may not like his politics?

Can we survive when social media giants like FB and Google and Twitter are openly biased against half of of our population?

Summary

America is under siege. What’s the harm? Can our Republic survive? With half the population disagreeing with the other half on fundamental principles, something has to give.

The latest incident with the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court is a prime example. A person from high school some 36 years ago, came forward to stop the nomination with a sexual misconduct charge against the nominee. Where is the sense of justice?

If this keeps up, no sane person would ever want to serve. Being a President or a judge is public service. Never forget that.

That is still a lot of campaign money for the dems.

The people on the view said some bad things about Hillary's latest speech about Bill.

Rod Rosenstein doesn't want to testify in front of the senate over his wanting to wear a wire to record president Trump to then use it to impeach him.

The odd thing is that the DOJ is the agency that is needed to compel him or address the subpoena. Where is Jeff Sessions?

      I don't think it's that much more. Maybe 25-30%?

      https://www.opensecrets.org/overview/index.php

They are going to need it all. Tough going when you have to convince people you are not nuts while your leadership like Hiliary, Holder, Maxine Waters are calling for incivility and actual physical harm and Warren trying to convince people she is Indian when the average white person has twice as much Indian blood as she thinks DNA test shows she might have.

Talk about "down the rabbit hole" these people live down the rabbit hole. And here is the proof.

      Thanks.

BTW the democrats are raising much more for their election campaigns than the republicans. Just like when Hillary raised 1.2 billion dollars and Trump only half of that.

I always thought that the democrat party was aligned with the poor, and the republicans with the rich. This seems to need some updating based on the donors giving so much more to the democrats.

Brad makes good points all around jack don't you think?

One thing that is welcome mentioned is that the cure first about every problem we see is so simple! The answer is

      SMALLER GOVERNMENT

      MUCH SMALLER GOVERNMENT

      And ASAP!

And the time is now when America has more jobs available than workers to fill them so federal employees leaving gov't jobs will be absorbed by the private sector.

Much smaller gov't means fewer worthless jobs that are simply given to partisan operatives, meaning fewer opportunities to build or strengthen the deep state. Less debt, a smaller budget.

There should be no incentive to run for election solely to get rich as a career politician who has to spend 70% of their time raising money and running for election.

I would have a minimum salary deemed necessary to do the job effectively and salary cap but only pay more than min based on some evaluation of the representative's earning capability based on his profession before being elected. For example everyone is paid $100,000/year and if an elected representative made $200,000 a year his salary as a federal employee would be increased to say 75% of what he made prior or in this case $175,000. If the cap is $150,000 that's the most anyone could make. And term limits too.

Anyway my point is to not incentivise career politicians with high paying cushy jobs that make them rich. How does a loon like Maxine Waters who makes $175,000/yr as a representative live in a 4 million dollar home?

This is what every politician's campaign ad should look like:

      B:

The answer to all of your questions that follow is simply Yes. But will it thrive in those environments, that is difficult to say, but By this Thanksgiving we will either be cooking the Turkey to a tasty meal, or we will be served as the turkey.

Simply put, if nothing starts to heat up in the courts, and in the congress to turn to focus onto the Democrats and the players that have come out of the investigations, it will be the end. There is no coming back when only the democrats have the weapons.

      --------------------------------

"Can our republic survive top FBI officials leaking to the press?

      B:

It is more than just the FBI leaks, it is the totality of the leaks that is dangerous. Even when the information is leaked the US congress can't get the information and that is a problem.

      -------------------------------

Can we survive a “deep state” cabal who wants to influence our government?

      B:

The deep state has been with us forever, and we survived but we can do better if we kill the deep state or at least break them up and have them scatter.

      -------------------------------------

Can we survive a media creating and reporting on “Fake News”?

      B:

The media started to go bad when Cable News was started. Cable news, and msm are no longer the island of news it was once. Today, the alternate media will grow and prosper as long as we can break up the monopoly of Google, Twitter, Facebook and that is a problem by the people that rely on them because it is easy.

Easy because of the one step information platforms they provide. At one time, people believed anything if they saw it on TV, and now that belief extends to these three conglomerates.

      --------------------------------

Can we survive ex-Presidents going on the campaign trail making disparaging remarks about his successor? Breaking precedence.

      B:

Once again this is a problem of and by the people that first watch it and think it is OK.

      ---------------------------

Can we survive when a judge’s reputation is dragged through mud just because one may not like his politics?

      B:

This is the result of this century's social reengineering by the democrats. To change those tactics we need to reengineer the democrats. One way to do that is the vote them out, but at the same time send a message to the republicans and the independents running for office, they won't be reelected if they don't follow the people that elect them.

      -----------------------------------

Can we survive when social media giants like FB and Google and Twitter are openly biased against half of of our population?"

      B:

These three are vices, addictions and people have been too lazy to do without them. I don't use any of them, don't miss them, don't want them, and don't need them. These companies and their products are the modern day Pavlovian manipulation.

The problem with many people imo is that until they find out the hard way that something is bad they don't care.

I remember a story from one of my best friends. He was going on and on about how this real estate guy was managing his rental property. It had all of the advantages of Google, he didn't have to do anything, the guy took care of everything. This went of for a few years, when it all changed in an instant. The real estate guy absconded with all the money from his client and just disappeared leaving my friend in the red.

Another one is identity theft, no one really cares because it only happens to the other people, not them. A hard lesson to learn, when it happens to them.

Google, Facebook and Twitter should be handled like a utility company so we can have some protection from them. Now, they are covered by the terms of use, and because they don't charge you, they feel like they can use you. The fact is that they do, and you have little protection.

      -------------------------------------

You can thank the founders for their wisdom and foresight in creating the Constitution because it and patriots’ loyalty to it are the only reason we have survived and will be the reason we continue to survive. The only way this country will fall or be changed into something it was and is never intended to be wil be if the constitution is destroyed or clandestinely circumvented by traitors to it. That could be through the court system, the military or a deep state within numerous departments. But all participating through these venues to annul the Constitution are traitors and if we don’t bring them to justice and set the example that they will be brought to justice, then yes Jack, we run the risk our Republic won’t survive as founded. It’s time heads roll, as BP says, and if Trump doesn’t do it then I say BP should unleash her insect minions upon Washington DC and have them drain the swamp.

President Trump needs to clean house. Many of the dirty players are well known, so it is time to give them the boot and begin prosecuting some of them for crimes. We cannot permit the FBI and the DOJ to remain heavily politicized. Frankly, I wish we could get rid of the networks that engage in brainwashing. While we are at it, we should overhaul the schools and institutions of higher learning. Left wing lunatics are running the show and ruining the next generation.
