An Underclass Historical Thought about President Obama

An Underclass Historical Thought about President Obama

What will history say about the First and maybe only Black President of the United States of America? Will It be written that the first Black President saved America from economical disaster? Will it be written that he failed like the First Black Mayors of Major urban cities in the late 60’s and early 70’s and 80’s? It is a fact that many and most inner cities were economically doomed when the First Black Mayors took office. They were doomed because their tax base moved to the suburbs, this fact gets an honorable mention in some economic courses. These First Black mayors soon found out how impossible it would be to just maintain the level of employment and quality of life after White flight to the suburbs. The suburbs grew and built schools and created jobs in the suburbs. The suburbanites that worked in the inner cities spent their money and paid taxes in the suburbs. That makes sense doesn’t it?

President Obama is on a similar road, designed for economical failure. Without a strong tax paying base and an employment driven economy all city, state, and federal governments will fail to serve the people for lack of money. This is the hand dealt Obama, a Presidency with no tax base to generate revenue. No jobs created in the private sector and a forced reduction and denial of funding for public sector jobs, for four straight years. History may not deny the cause of Obama’s failures but will say after 4 years, he owned that economy and was too weak to strengthen the economy and create jobs. The fact is no other previous President could have been successful with such unprecedented opposition.

I was thinking about President Obama’s election and reelection. His election was unprecedented to say the lease even with the Republican nominees offered up for the 2008 election. I’m reminded of Mayor Ray Nagin of New Orleans, (Chocolate City). Nagin now feel forced to write his own historical account of why his administration failed the people of Orleans Parish who were affected by the failure of Federal levees. Ray Nagin was reelected Mayor after the people who were forced out and kept out were given an opportunity to vote in place and to return to the city to vote. It was said that the old money conservatives and shadow government in New Orleans didn’t want the low and underclass to return. Mayor Nagin publicly spoke out against the plans of the rich uptown old money. His public opposition of the shadow government’s plans allowed him to be reelected by people who knew he was elected Mayor because of old money support. Many billions of dollars were given to the state government of Louisiana to make whole those inside the failed federal levees systems. The Governor was a Democrat and she publicly stated that she would not discriminate between flood and wind damage in the state of Louisiana. This discretionary decision allowed the Billions to be given out to people and non-profits who didn’t need or deserve the monies. Many of those who needed and deserved the money then still need to be made whole today. Nagin and the people he appointed to lead the recovery declared that soon there would be many cranes in the New Orleans skylines. The mayor found that he was powerless without the revenue that the Democratic Governor had no intention of releasing to him, because she felt disrespected by things he said publicly. The city council also worked against and denied him a plague or an accomplishment to show any success for his administration historically. The city and most of its citizens suffered and did without all of Nagin’s second term as mayor of New Orleans. The State of Louisiana and Its Republican governor released billions of dollars to the city of New Orleans. The money was for infrastructure repairs and other needed projects, this happened only after the new Mayor (a White Democrat) was elected. Now there are so much surplus monies that the mayor can hire a few Deputy Mayors at 6 figure salaries for the first time in New Orleans history. The New Police chief can hire and appoint a few new commanders that he only and not civil service can hire or fire, they also make 6 figure salaries, that power and ability is also a historical first in New Orleans. Mayor Nagin has to write his own story or the truth may never be written, if he doesn’t write his own history.

The following thoughts which are not conspiracy theories came to mind while I pondered the past. If there is a quote unquote Shadow Government on the National level I don’t know where and when they meet. If That Shadow Government I imagined consists of the rich and powerful and their power and influence secretly controls the Governance on Capitol Hill, perhaps President Obama is President because it is the will of the Shadow Government. You may ask why such power and influence from the conservative side support a failing Presidency in the first place? My answer is some failures of hope and change supports the status quo. I supposed this Shadow Government knew that after Bush, the Republican Brand had absolutely no chance of winning the White House in 2008. The King Makers knew that Hillary, Barack and most of the lesser Democratic candidates would win over any Republican candidate. The Question was, who to secretly back with their power and influence. The problem was “ they wanted their Presidency back as soon as possible”. These meetings were pre-introduction of the Tea Party, they were pre 2008 elections. I imagined that they knew to get the White House in four years; they would have to be ruthless. They knew that that would be no way to treat the First Woman President and would mean the end of the GOP, so they secretly backed Obama. They realized the many ruthless ways and things they can use on the first Black President that they couldn’t use on Hillary or a White male. That makes sense doesn’t it?

The plan was simple; create a real crisis (Bank Bailout) in the beginning of Obama’s Administration. Then manufacture a fake crisis (debt ceiling) and oppose absolutely anything he proposes to do or say, for four years straight. Simply allow no economic or job growth even if the people know and see what’s going on. Then tell the people the election polls are too close to call and the people will believe what they are told if it is repeated over and over again. Through mis and dis information convince the people that the 2012 election is close. As in 2000 have Fox and friends declare a Republican victory regardless of what other news outlets have to say about who won the election. It worked before and should work again. Today the Tea Party candidates represent the Republican’s only chance of getting their Presidency back. The candidates have and will continue the ruthless disrespectful attacks on the Presidency while claiming certain likeability for the President, none of them can win Nationwide. That means someone left of the Tea Party is waiting in the wings until after the withering attacks on the Presidency and the President has the desired effect. The choice then will be between a mainstream Republican and a Tea Party- Republican to challenge a failed Presidency.

I don’t know what history will say about the First Black President of the United States of America. I know that usually the winner gets to tell HIS story. The story is playing out today, and tomorrow we that live through it will know the true story. There will be some who lived it, but still need it explained, hence… History. Who knows? The Shadow knows.
