Are politicians really religious role models?

Updated on July 26, 2012

"Rabid Republicans" and "Dazed Democrats"

I am so tired of what I like to call "Rabid Republicans" Not that I like "Dazed Democrats" either. People are so enthralled when a politician says they are christian and that they go to church. Like that makes them worthy of my vote. The "Rabid Republicans" Tell us that obama is not only not a citizen, but the antichrist. Seriously? Come on. We are making christians look bad! I am a christian, and I personally believe politics is of the world, not that the leaders aren't set up by God, but the leaders, (Even Democrats) According to the bible, We should pray for. Don't believe me? Read the word!! Now I think some of the democrats are just as bad. Maybe because not just they wear their christian name badge to get a vote, but they actually pretend like they are passing laws like welfare ( Which is good if handled appropriately) because they care. When in reality they pass those laws so they can get re-elected. Notice how the big stuff is done close to election time? It's all a big game. Wag the dog, haven't you seen that movie? It's all a bunch of pay offs and silliness if you ask me. I don't know one politician that I believe cares for me. Jesus said, Render to ceasar the things that are ceasers, and to God the things that are God's. Just Sayin!!

Good Hub! And how timely and appropriate. I'm glad to see someone who is willing to think through their votes and pick their leaders according to what makes sense and not because they share the same religion.
