Balancing the truths
I sit here as this presidential election is beginning to wrap itself up and I am petrified for one of the first times in my lives. This is the moment where I beg everyone, everyone around me, everyone in the united states to open their eyes and see your truths. This is the first presidential election where I have seen people belittle their closest family and friends, name call and be just hurtful. I'm not sure why you surround yourself with these people who you feel are the biggest morons in America. Oh wait you don't, on a normal day you respect these people who you are constantly around. And yet when they are allowed to have an actual vote to decide how they would like to see our Government run, you choose that very moment to cut their legs out from under them because you disagree.
When did our freedom in America mean we got to yell and scream because other people had the right to a choice just like you do. Here's the facts. Someone you know will choose Hilary and someone you know will choose Trump and others will choose their right to sit on the sidelines and not cast a vote at all. The thing is it is their choice no matter how much you disagree. It doesn't matter what side you are on at this point. You can scream all day and you aren't going to change anyone's mind. People's hatred for the other person running is really getting in the way of living our lives.
I am not going to lie I share funny pictures on Facebook and informational videos. I have not called anyone on my friends and family list idiots, or told them that they are making a mistake because I disagree. At some point in our lives we decided that if you disagree with someone you are in a fight and honestly this kind of living is exhausting. Please calm down and go back to respecting people around you sooner rather than later. I would hate to think that I lost everyone in my social network because of a choice that each and every person in American has been granted by bring an American.
