Barack and Michelle, The Ox and the Rabbit

Based on Chinese Lunar astrology, Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson Obama are a perfectly matched couple. This year, 2008, was to be and will continue to be, a great year for them!

Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961. This makes him an ox (sometimes known as the water buffalo, and in Korea he would be known as the cow). Michelle Obama was born January 17, 1964, this make her a rabbit. There is a bit more to each lunar sign.

Each of the 12 lunar signs are for one year and are represented by an animal. They also have elements from nature to go along with them. They denote very specific character traits; these elements are metal, wood, fire, water, and earth. Michelle Obama is a rabbit and because of the year of her birth, she is a water rabbit. Barack Obama is an ox and because of his year of birth he is a metal ox. I'm also an ox but I am an earth ox. Therefore, Barack Obama and I cannot be the same age, we would be 12 years apart or a multiple of twelve years apart.

According to Lillian Too, the Queen and master of feng-shui, the excellent rapport in 2008, of the ox and the rabbit, will bring them closer to each other. But big things were predicted this year for the couple.

This is the year that will bring the fulfillment of dreams to crystalization. It seems that the rabbit (Michelle) is the one bringing good luck to this relationship. The two are in a good place and it is a good time for them to be together.

This is a magnanimous and loving couple, and little will get in the way of their romance. In fact the ox (Barack) will be happy to play court to the rabbit (Michelle) because it is the glow of happiness that emanates from her that will make him happy.

The Chinese Lunar year will end February 3rd, 2009. That means that this well matched couple, with a luck affinity between them, will get through the inauguration, feeling even more committed and loving towards each other.

Next year will be the year of the ox. The lunar new year will begin on February 4th, 2009. That also means that Obama's age will be a multiple of 12, and more specifically, he will be 48 years old.
